Hybrid working is a relatively new approach to work. It has many characteristics in common with remote or virtual work. The main thing is how widespread this is. Whereas remote or virtual work might have been relatively uncommon or only apply to a few employees, Hybrid is a far more widespread phenomenon that can apply to everyone. In some ways it’s a whole new approach to work, in others, it’s similar to what we are used to and may only require a few tweaks to what we are already doing.
